With many organizations cutting back on programs, it's encouraging to hear when businesses demonstrate a firm commitment to training. For instance, Tri-Ed this week announced it is bringing its 2009 Technology Tour to many of its branch locations in the coming weeks.
Part of Tri-Ed’s Masters Training Program, the ’09 Tech Tour is putting IP know-how at the fingertips of dealers and integrators coast to coast, the company reported.
The IP Video Tech Tour Training classes run from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and cover the basics of networking, IP configuration, and IP video and network video recording. Attendees will learn the IP lingo and how to set up a small to medium-sized network.
Each training class will be led by Lee Duncan, Tri-Ed's national systems integration manager. Classes will feature vendor presentations and a table-top showcase.
February classes will be held on Feb. 10 in Portland, Ore.; Feb. 12 in Kent, Wash.; Feb. 17 in Kansas City, Mo.; and Feb. 19 in Chicago.
The Tech Tours head to California in March, with classes making stops in Riverside on March 10, Garden Grove on March 12, Sacramento on March 24, and San Leandro on March 26.
