JVC Professional, Wayne, N.J., in collaboration with Berk-Tek and Network Video Technologies (NVT), will host a pre-conference seminar at the Building Industry Consulting Service International Inc. (BICSI) Winter Conference and Exhibition in Orlando, Fla.
The “Convergence to CCTV: The Path to IP” seminar is a follow-up to detailed presentations and workshops based on the CCTV Convergence seminars JVC, Berk-Tek, NVT, Ortronics/Legrand and S2 Access Control have sponsored throughout the United States. The seminar will take place Mon., Jan. 19, 1:30–4:30 p.m. at the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort, Orlando, Fla.
In the seminar, JVC Security product manager, Adrian Parvulescu, will provide insight on the revolutionary conversion of the security industry from analog to IP digital. Parvulescu will discuss the features and benefits of IP network cameras as compared to analog cameras, megapixel camera technology, Power over Ethernet (PoE) technology for IP cameras and the capabilities of network video recorders.
The presentation will be followed by a hands-on workshop where attendees will be taught how to build a video surveillance system. Attendees will also receive three Continuing Education Credits (CECs), which can be applied to RCDD, NTS, WD or ITS Installer Technician credentials.
