The 2010 Electronic Security Expo (ESX) in Pittsburgh, Pa., will feature a mini-track designed exclusively with young security professionals in mind. The Electronic Security Association’s (ESA) Young Security Professionals (YSP) are a group of 25-45 year-old security professionals, whose passion and drive have led them to managerial positions at companies that design, sell, install and/or monitor electronic life safety, security and/or integrated systems. Consequently, the YSP Mini-Track will offer sessions that provide generation-specific insight for leaders in these areas. The track includes the following targeted sessions:
- Capturing Gen Y Clients: Products, Systems and Sales Techniques for the Millennials
- From Soup to Nuts: An Employments Law Primer for Young Security Professionals
- Next Gen Business Systems and Processes
In celebration of the first-ever YSP Mini-Track, members will kick off ESX 2010 with a party at the
Pittsburgh martini bar, Olive or Twist. Members will share conversations with familiar faces over martinis on Monday, June 14 from 6:00-7:30 p.m. And although the event is free, ESA is requiring that members register.
"I think ESX is a great opportunity for us young professionals not only to network within the industry, but to develop our capabilities," says Trevor McEnaney, YSP council chair. "The YSP Mini-track focuses specifically on the leadership challenges our generation faces."
The YSP Mini-Track discount package includes registration for all three YSP sessions and an ESX Expo Plus Pass for $199. Additional courses can be purchased a-la-carte and all ESX Seminars, workshops and special networking events, are included in the Deluxe Registration Package. This special offer is only available to members of ESA’s YSP group. To secure your registration for ESX, call 877-628-9558.
