In the center of the ISC Solution 2010 show floor, the Central Networking Hub hosts more than 20 free educational sessions in two theaters. While most of the 45-minute sessions target a specific vertical (campus, government or healthcare, the concepts discussed are applicable to a wider audience. “It’s not limited to the three verticals. Everyone can take some best practices away,” says Sherida Sessa, conference manager, ISC & BuildingsNY Events.

The Solutions @ Work Case Study Forum (Theater 2) is exclusively dedicated to presenting case histories from three different viewpoints. “Selecting the sessions was a juried process. For the case studies, all three parties — the manufacturer, integrator and end-user — had to be present,” Blake says.

Although a majority of the ISC Solutions 2010 conference program is geared towards the trio of manufacturer-integrator-end-user, there also is a special educational program just for dealers and integrators. ISC Solutions partnered with PSA Security Network for this section of the program, which focuses on vertical markets and managed services. Two sessions are being held today: “Key Considerations for Healthcare Security and Access Control” and “The Essentials of Campus Safety & Security.” On Thursday the program will consist of: “Securing Critical Infrastructure, Government and Mass Transit Facilities” and “Remote Video Monitoring: The Real Solution.”

On the Vendor Solutions conference track, Napco Security Technologies and Axis Communications will each present a two-hour session. The Axis session being held today will examine how Axis defines the standard for measuring light sensitivity and then explain the company’s specific methodology for achieving high image quality throughout its product portfolio. The Napco session being held on Thursday will offer a comprehensive overview of the new Napco Commercial Platform for 24V commercial fire, burglary or combination burg/access/fire applications.
