At the recent Securing New Ground conference, held virtually October 28, Kastle CEO Haniel Lyn and Northland Controls CEO and Chair of SIA Board of Directors Pierre Trapanese spoke about trends they are seeing in returning to work.

The Monitoring Association, with panelists representing the Alarm Industry Communications Committee (AICC) and the Medical Alert Monitoring Association (MAMA), held this webinar to discuss how the 3G sunset will impact businesses, customers and integrators, along with what professionals can do to help. 

This first module focuses on immediate implications, key regulatory guidance and forward-looking mitigation measures. 

Taking place virtually on the Whova app, the operations portion took place over the course of four days, featuring informational sessions, engagement activities, virtual vendor booths and a virtual lunch break.

The survey found that overall concerns around internet security (including computer viruses and hacking) have plunged in the last year.

Benjamin Franklin is reported to have said, “Out of adversity comes opportunity.” The security industry, like many businesses in the U.S. and the world, has certainly seen some adversity this year. In the video monitoring part of the security industry, however, a situation that started as chaos quickly shifted to unique opportunities to help both existing and new customers.
