Apollo Global Management of New York will purchase both Protection 1, Romeo, Ill., listed at No. 6 on the SDM 100, and ASG Security, Beltsville, Md., ranked No. 10 on the SDM 100.
The acquisition of Amsafe Security Systems gives ASG the opportunity to add more infrastructure and create more internal sales in the Florida market, Ralph Masino, CFO of ASG Security, told SDM. Amsafe Security Systems’ customer base is approximately 50/50 business and residential.
ASG Security, Beltsville, Md., finished 2013 with a flourish — and a focus on RMR — with four acquisitions in December adding $155,000 in recurring monthly revenue (RMR) to its overall total of $530,000 gained in RMR from acquisitions in 2012.
