The Electronic Security Association announced plans to launch a new chartered chapter, the Electronic Security Association (ESA) of Florida. The national association said that ESA of Florida will focus on the top challenge of the electronic life safety and security industry in Florida — stimulating demand in the commercial, institutional, industrial, residential and governmental markets. A sustained program of media relations, online promotions and face-to-face networking events will generate inquiries for members and inform and educate prospective customers.

Cincinnati Bell Inc. announced the signing of a definitive agreement to sell its Complete Protection security monitoring business to Guardian Alarm Company, Southfield, Mich. Cincinnati Bell will continue to offer Complete Protection services through a marketing agreement with Guardian.
