The Monitoring Association (TMA) has assumed control of the Installation Quality Certification Program (IQ Certification), the only quality control program for installations, maintenance and service of electronic security systems.
During the January IQ Certification Program monthly meeting the IQ Board met and chose officers.

During the December 2012 IQ Certification annual membership meeting, executive director, Dale Eller, announced the election results for the 2013 IQ Board of Directors. Tim Creenan, Lynn Comer and Dave Currie each were elected to a two-year term, which began Jan. 1, 2013.

With a new IQ certification campaign underway, the IQ board of directors met in May to approve the recertification of Security Systems of America of Pittsburgh, Pa.; Central Monitoring & Dispatch of Pittsburgh, Pa.; Avantguard Monitoring Centers of Ogden, Utah; Amherst Alarm of Amherst, N.Y.; Dyck Security Service Inc. of Port Huron, Mich.; Cen-Signal (SSC Services Inc.) of Columbus, Ga.; Rapid Response Monitoring Services Inc. of Syracuse, N.Y.; Alarm 2000 of Cardiff, Calif.; Shenandoah Valley Security, LLC of Waynesboro, Va.; and Deiter Bros Fuel Co., dba 4 Season’s Security of Bethlehem, Pa.
