ADT Inc., a provider of monitored security and interactive home and business automation solutions in the United States and Canada, today announced that it has acquired LifeShield LLC, a provider of advanced wireless home security systems, in a transaction valued at approximately $25 million.
DirectTV, El Segundo, Calif. is the latest cable services provider to enter the security space with its acquisition of LifeShield, Langhorne, Pa. According to DirecTV, LifeShield will continue to run with its existing team, which includes CEO Michael Hagan, in its Pa. headquarters.
