In the past we have heard many local marketing companies from outside the industry pitch over-hyped social media campaigns to security dealers across the nation, primarily focusing on Twitter and Facebook. In our experience, focusing on a Twitter campaign is as useful as a blind horse. But today we are retracting one of our previous statements and are removing Facebook in that category.
Mission 500 launched the M500 Show Orange initiative aimed specifically at providing aid to children in need in the United States. To join the campaign, participants wear or pose with something orange — an article of clothing, accessory, etc. — on any Friday. Then they simply take a selfie and submit it to info@mission500.org. Each week, one of the submitted photos will be chosen for posting on Mission 500’s ShowOrange gallery on Facebook.
