Convergint has launched a new apprenticeship program that is designed for high school graduates, tech school graduates and veterans, among others, with transferable skills who are looking to build their careers in the security industry.
The new Convergint Technical Apprenticeship Program begins with two and a half weeks of instruction and lab coursework, providing a foundation of knowledge that sets the stage for a future career, according to an announcement. From there, participants will receive approximately 50 weeks of on-the-job training, utilizing the Pro Learning app to track progress and guide them to full certification in their chosen field.
With this program, participants are said to have the opportunity to turn knowledge and experience into a fulfilling career, all while making a meaningful contribution to the team and to the community.
Convergint’s apprenticeship program has already kicked off in the Compton Unified School District in Los Angeles with plans to expand it across the United States.
