Elite Interactive Solutions, a remote video guarding pioneer, recently hosted several law enforcement officials at its Los Angeles headquarters for a demonstration and tour of the company’s leading-edge Security Operations Command Center (SOCC).

On hand were El Segundo (Calif.) Police Department Chief Saul Rodriguez along with precinct Captains Ryan Danowitz and Gilbert Sanchez. They met with Elite representatives including CEO Aria Kozak, President Michael Zatulov, Security Director Noel Delgado, Law Enforcement Liaison Mitch Tavera and Business Development Vice President Andrew Levin.

“I was impressed with Elite’s crime prevention technologies,” says Rodriguez, who was appointed chief earlier this year following more than 30 years of distinguished service. “I believe that Elite is a valuable law enforcement partner in preventing crime in local communities.”

In an announcement, Elite states it is at the forefront of private security solutions providers partnering with public safety to prevent crime in real-time, eliminate false alarms, and help law enforcement achieve arrests and respond more safely by acting as a live eyewitness to crimes in progress. Elite, ranked No. 31 in the 2024 SDM 100, also says it is the only provider of its kind that maintains its own Law Enforcement Advisory Board (LEAB) and that is endorsed by FBI-LEEDA, which includes thousands of law enforcement executives. The LEAB serves as a protocol and communications bridge between the Elite SOCC and responding agencies.

“Elite has consistently demonstrated a companywide and nationwide commitment to stopping rather than reacting to crime, as well as acting in the best interests of not only their clients but also police,” said Tavera, who spent 39 years with the El Segundo Police Department, the last seven as chief of police. “This is evidenced in all they do, including staffing their command center with former military and law enforcement personnel and reducing false alarms to zero. I have not seen any other security companies this proficient or professional.”

To that end, Elite states it is bullish on educating the marketplace about what remote video guarding is, how it works and its benefits. The visit by the chief and captains is the latest in a long line of guests invited to come onsite to learn about the crime prevention solution firsthand, see it in action and ask questions. Participants universally walk away impressed with the state-of-the-art facility and operations.

“Seeing is believing as they say, and we are very proud of our crime monitoring center and special partnership with police. Both have been developed and perfected over time,” said Kozak. “As a visionary, I long dedicated myself to a solution that truly prevented crime and through the years built deep relationships with law enforcement. Today, those efforts are realized through many thousands of crime preventions and arrests.”
