Mission 500 launched the M500 Show Orange initiative aimed specifically at providing aid to children in need in the United States. To join the campaign, participants wear or pose with something orange — an article of clothing, accessory, etc. — on any Friday. Then they simply take a selfie and submit it to info@mission500.org. Each week, one of the submitted photos will be chosen for posting on Mission 500’s ShowOrange gallery on Facebook.
Participation is free and a gift card will be awarded to the weekly poster of the chosen photo as a small token of appreciation. All are encouraged to follow the page, like it, and share it with friends and colleagues using the #ShowOrange hashtag to raise awareness about this important initiative.
“The color orange is associated with both determination and fun, which also fits our intentions with the new Show Orange campaign,” said George Fletcher, Advisory Board member and Mission 500 volunteer. “We are proud of our work to improve the lives of children around the world, and with the launch of Show Orange, our aim is to ensure kids here at home are provided with the same aid.” Those interested in learning more about this program can visit www.mission500.org/showorange for more details.
