Legrand announced its complete schedule of installer training sessions planned for the September CEDIA Expo in Dallas, encompassing more than a dozen. All of the courses provide continuing education units (CEU) required for qualifying for or maintaining professional certifications from CEDIA and InfoComm.
Legrand will offer training for product lines and brands including Luxul, Nuvo, On-Q, QMotion and Vantage. Middle Atlantic, the maker of equipment rack and enclosures, technical furnishings and related products, is exhibiting in the Legrand booth, #5132, but will not be conducting any training at this year’s Expo.
Luxul will kick-off Legrand’s training sessions on Wednesday, Sept. 14, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. with “Tailoring Network Performance with VLANs & QoS,” led by Brannon Young, Luxul’s director of channel sales, in room D172 of the convention center. The class, part of the CEDIA Learning Lab, focuses on advanced network performance tools used in residential networks, as well as how to achieve optimal network performance when bandwidth is being used by multiple devices and programs. The session will be repeated Thursday, Sept. 15, starting at 1:30 p.m., and again Friday, Sept. 16, starting at 1:00 p.m., both in room D172.
On Friday, Sept. 16, Luxul will conduct a class entitled, “Empowering Your Network for Control & Automation, A/V and Security Installations.” It will present the two-hour class four times, starting at 8:00 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 1:00 p.m., and 3:30 p.m. Sessions are scheduled to take place in convention center room C146. Participants will earn one CEU for taking the course.
Seizing on the surging interest in smart homes, Legrand will conduct the class, “Legrand Intuity – Home Automation Made Easy,” on Thursday, Sept. 15, from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. in convention center room C145. This course qualifies for 0.75 CEU.
In addition, the company will lead a course on maximizing the benefits of streaming services with the Nuvo Player Portfolio in wired and Wi-Fi networks on Friday, Sept. 16. The Player Portfolio session runs from 3:30-5:00 p.m. in room C141 and will cover topics including system control using Legrand apps and third-party control systems. This course qualifies for 0.75 CEU.
