ESA is hosting a Rising Leaders Forum October 11-13 designed to offer young industry professionals education, networking opportunities and more. Early bird registration will continue through Sept. 9.
The ESA Young Security Professionals (YSP’s) are a national network of rising leaders providing industry-specific mentorship and professional development with opportunities to give back to communities and impact the legislative landscape, ESA described. This group is working to change the status quo and provide networking, education and opportunities for our industry’s next leaders to grow and succeed.
YSP’s have partnered with Terry Peters, Command Sergeant Major and Senior Enlisted Leader (retired) with the 3rd Special Forces Group and now CEO of Leader Solutions and Decision Support LLC, to offer rising leaders the event. ESA reported the Rising Leaders Forum will provide networking opportunities, a keynote presentation and educational sessions.
The forum will be held at Skamania Lodge in the wooded forest of the Pacific Northwest. The lodge features an outdoor zip line, a golf course, horseback riding, hiking and whitewater rafting in addition to its meeting spaces, event halls and remarkable views. The Rising Leaders Forum will feature a morning workout led by keynote presenter Terry Peters and his team of retired U.S. Army Green Berets, a geo caching scavenger hunt, and multiple leadership and team-building discussions.
The YSP council drove the formation of the ESA Mentorship Program, and the Rising Leaders Forum will also serve as the graduation ceremony for the Class of 2016 and a venue for the Class of 2017 applicants to learn from the inaugural mentorship program participants. Managing workforce development, the customer lifecycle and corporate social responsibility will all be covered at the event.
Invest in your rising leaders by sending them to this event. When they return you will find:
“At the Rising Leaders Forum you can expect your employees to learn leadership and team work skills specific to our industry and more importantly specific to our changing times,” said Robert Few, YSP chairman. “If you are looking to demonstrate to the ‘rising leaders’ in your organization how serious you are about their professional development, this is one event they shouldn’t miss.”
