LEDinside, a division of TrendForce, has recently published its 2017 IR LED/IR Laser and Optical Sensor Market Report. In the report, LEDinside states that that the global market scale of IR LED and IR laser components used in iris and facial recognition solutions will grow from $145 million in 2017 to $827 million in 2025.
Hours after the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) waiting period for the merging of Alarm.com and two units of Icontrol Networks ended, Honeywell filed suit on February 22, 2017 against Alarm.com and Icontrol for an alleged violation of antitrust laws.
Honeywell has appointed Michael Flink president of its global security and fire business in Honeywell Home and Building Technologies. He will report to Terrence Hahn in his new role. Flink, who most recently served as ADI’s global president, replaces David Paja, who has left for a position outside Honeywell. Rob Aarnes, who most recently led ADI’s North America operations, has been appointed president of ADI Global.
CEDIA has sold ownership of the CEDIA show to Emerald Expositions, the largest trade show operator in the U.S. CEDIA will continue to be deeply involved in the show, working hand-in-hand with Emerald on overall show direction, as well as retaining control and ownership of all educational programming.
PSA Security Network announced the education conference agenda for TEC 2017. The annual security conference will be held in Westminster, Colo., on May 7-11, 2017.
