Hikvision, City of Industry, Calif., reported that it participated in the Electronic Security Association’s Day on Capitol Hill on May 5, 2015. A representative from Hikvision’s leadership team met with Congress members in Washington D.C. to discuss important issues affecting the security industry, including apprenticeship programs, school security, and telecommunications.

Following the recent announcement that Apollo Global Management has signed definite agreements to acquire both Protection 1 and ASG Security, Protection 1 acquired Cam Connections Inc. Under this new arrangement, Protection 1 will serve as the platform on which Apollo will enter the security market, and CCI will further complement the company’s offerings.
This year’s PSA-TEC, held May 4-8 in Westminster, Colo., featured nearly 100 educational sessions geared to integrators of all sizes and an impressive attendance that was up by about 31 percent over last year, according to PSA.
