Following the recent announcement that Apollo Global Management has signed definite agreements to acquire both Protection 1 and ASG Security, Protection 1 acquired Cam Connections Inc. Under this new arrangement, Protection 1 will serve as the platform on which Apollo will enter the security market, and CCI will further complement the company’s offerings.
This year’s PSA-TEC, held May 4-8 in Westminster, Colo., featured nearly 100 educational sessions geared to integrators of all sizes and an impressive attendance that was up by about 31 percent over last year, according to PSA.

(OnSSI), Pearl River, N.Y., a supplier of video management software in the Americas, signed a definitive agreement to acquire the majority of SeeTec AG, Bruchsal, Germany. As a provider of network-based video management applications, SeeTec provides customers with targeted solutions aligned with customer requirements and industry-specific processes.
Joel S. Spira, chairman, director of research and founder of Lutron Electronics Company, Coopersburg, Pa., passed away on April 8, 2015 in his home at the age of 88.
