Select Security, Lancaster, Pa., expanded into Kentucky with the acquisition of three local companies. Over the past several months, Select Security has welcomed the employees and several thousand customers from Comstar Systems in Bowling Green, AAA Systems in Elizabethtown, and Bardstown Alarm in Bardstown.
The merger of Rolf Jensen & Associates (The RJA Group) and Hughes Associates, Baltimore, gave birth to a new company name — JENSEN HUGHES — for what is now the largest and most experienced specialty engineering consulting firm in the world, according to the company.
ADI, Melville, N.Y., announced Rob Aarnes was named president of ADI North America. Aarnes will be responsible for leading all ADI business operations across the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico. He will continue to report to Michael Flink, who was recently named president of ADI Global.
PPM 2000, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, has been acquired by Klass Software, the acquisition group of Klass Capital, an enterprise software, growth equity fund headquartered in Toronto, Ontario. Will Anderson, the CEO of Klass Software, is now the new CEO of PPM. Elaine O’Sullivan and Brian McIlravey will continue with the company as president and executive vice president, respectively.
Zenitel, Oslo, Norway, a global leader and supplier of the VINGTOR® and STENTOFON® brands of communication systems, announced the unity of these two brands into one — VINGTOR-STENTOFON®. The two separate product brands were acquired by the Zenitel Group in 2001 with both having a rich history dating back to 1946. According to Kenneth Dastol, CEO Zenitel Group, the merging of the two will not affect Zenitel’s legal structure but will allow the Zenitel name to become less visible while the two well-known brands are presented on a consistently more prominent basis.

Mission 500 launched the M500 Show Orange initiative aimed specifically at providing aid to children in need in the United States. To join the campaign, participants wear or pose with something orange — an article of clothing, accessory, etc. — on any Friday. Then they simply take a selfie and submit it to info@mission500.org. Each week, one of the submitted photos will be chosen for posting on Mission 500’s ShowOrange gallery on Facebook.
A portion of the proceeds of SIA Honors Night benefits the Mission 500 nonprofit organization, which is organizing the security industry to sponsor 1,000 children in need, providing access to life-changing basics such as food, clean water, healthcare and education.

The Security Industry Association (SIA) hosted SIA Honors Night: Celebrating Performance, Partnerships and People in the Security Industry in conjunction with ISC East on November 19. The evening event began with a cocktail hour during which guests mingled and networked at The Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers, and then moved onto a seated dinner and awards presentation.
