Guardian Alarm announced it has closed on the sale of the company to U.S.-based investment firms Certares LP and Vanwall Holdings LLC, together with company management.

Here’s the good news: Not a single person interviewed for this article said business was flat or declined in 2016, or expected it to decline in 2017. In fact, many reported double-digit growth and a continued strong business outlook, both residentially and commercially.

This March, CSAA plans to officially change its name to The Monitoring Association, after members voted to change the name last June.

This March, CSAA plans to officially change its name to The Monitoring Association. SDM recently spoke with CSAA’s Vice President of Marketing and Communications, Elizabeth Lasko, about what the change means and how the association arrived at this juncture.

Monitoring companies are not created equal. Each one has a unique approach, different focuses and specialties just like any other business.

CSAA just completed the second event in our three-year “reimagining” of our annual meeting, and it was another win for the members who attended and for the association itself. 

This year, Rapid Response Monitoring earned the top honor of Central Station of the Year from CSAA. The award was presented at ESX in Fort Worth, Texas, by Jeff Atkins and Morgan Hertel.
